We did this quite a lot! Nan&#8217;s tone was always pleasant, and helpful, and it seemed she really tried to help both students and colleagues. She took a real interest in the Masters programme that I direct &#8211; on Human Animal Interactions, but I do not recall her ever telling me that she had a special affinity to dogs herself. It does not surprise me though to learn that she did! I send you, her family and close friends my condolences.
