Nan dealt with admissions for our programmes over a number of years and she brought to the role unfailing patience, perseverance and gentle powers of persuasion (a potent mix of good humour, courtesy and an unstinting focus on helping applicants) which disarmed even the most harassed and grumpy of us. She was a very human face and very much embodied the values that we all aspire to uphold at Stirling. Nan, you will be sincerely missed. Many thanks, Niall Hamilton-Smith
